Our Great Commission is founded for the sole purpose of seeking and saving the lost, which we are commanded to do according to the Scriptures. We do this throughout Virginia Beach, VA by handing out tracts and talking to people one on one. We visit locations from the boardwalk to the campus of Old Dominion University. We are always looking for people to join us proclaim the Gospel the way Jesus did it in Scripture. Law to the Proud – Grace to the Humble. Over the years the gospel message has been contorted in such a way that it does not confront a sinner with their sin. Instead it has watered down God’s holiness and does not command the sinner to repent. The modern gospel has asked sinners to “accept” Jesus as their Savior but does not require them to make Him their Lord thus creating false converts (those who claim to have faith in Jesus Christ but lack any appearance of the new nature). By the use of God’s Holy Law we show the sinner that he has violated God’s requirement of perfection and deserves damnation. Once someone accepts his condition we show him or her that God’s grace provided the perfect sacrifice due to their sins, the Blood of Jesus Christ. In order to partake in His grace they are required to repent and put total faith in the work that was done through Jesus Christ. No longer trusting in their good works but through the work of Jesus alone.
